Iwaobetsu-trailhead!
We left the hotel with a faint morning glow and headed for the trailhead.
We encountered some deer on the way, but arrived safely at the parking lot in front of the hotel Chinogai.

- そして鹿２頭と遭遇。道の真ん中にいてゆっくりと避けたら反対側にもいました(;´∀｀)北海道全日、鹿とは出会えました( *´艸`)

- 山の端からの日の出。

- 到着！駐車場は木下小屋周辺とホテル地の涯の脇の芝生部分の２か所で、ホテルの駐車場には停められません。トイレも写真の右側の方にいくとあります。
Let the climbing begin!
Pass by the right side of the hotel and head for the trailhead.
After a short walk, you will find Kinoshita Hut, and then you will enter the mountain.
I could taste the beautiful moment of morning light.

- キャンプ・車中泊は控えるようにとのこと。

- 木下小屋！ヒグマ用のスプレーもレンタルできます。登山バッチも！

- 日も登ってきて光が綺麗でした
Encounter with a brown bear!
Less than half an hour after we set off, we heard a rustling sound coming from up in the trees.
I looked closely and saw a brown bear.
We slowly moved away from it so that it wouldn’t turn its back on us, and we were able to safely pass it by.
The other side also came down and was wary, but after a while, it went back up to the tree to feed.
It’s amazing how attached they are to their food.

- ズルズルと降りてきたのでゆっくりと背を向けないように距離を…向こうもこちらを警戒している様子でその場でチラチラ。二人離れないように距離を更にとっていくと、反対側の山の下に去っていきました(;・∀・)あとから来た1人の方も同じようなところで登っていたヒグマと出会ったとのことでしたので、やはり食べ物への執着は凄いものですね。

- オホーツクの展望所まで到着。ヒグマの恐怖で心臓バクバク。余計に疲れました(;・∀・)

- ちらっとオホーツク海らしきもの。
We took a break to look at the glimpse of the Sea of Okhotsk, climbed steeply, and found the summit in the distance.
The first half of the trail was relatively easy to walk on.

Yasakichi-mizu!
It seems to have originated from Mr. Misakichi Kinoshita, who opened the mountain trail.

- 広くなったスペースも。

- ちょっと休憩を入れて再び登り。自然が綺麗。

- ちょっとだけ近くなった山頂。まだまだありますね(;・∀・)
Not a paradise, Gokuraku-daira
The meaning of Gokuraku is paradise.
Branches attacking your head and plain bad footholds follow.
Not a paradise, a paradise flat.

- 標高線と響きから極楽平までくれば少し休めるなぁと思っていました…

- 頭を攻撃する枝や地味に悪い足場を抜け、仙人坂まで。ルートのギザギザの序盤です。

Ginreisui
There was a quantity of water, but we were told not to drink it because of concerns about echinococcus and other diseases.
There is a portable toilet booth here, the only one on Mt. Rausu.
As we walked again, the number of flying insects increased.

Ohsawa！
It seems that there was less snow this year.
A rather steep climb begins.
But that’s what makes the view so spectacular when you look back.

- リスと花！って思ったのですが、リスは逃げてしまいました( *´艸`)

We were quickly swallowed by the fog.
It was fun, like the harshness of the mountains.
